Dr. Samuel Gerson, MD
Medical Director of SCMC
Dr. Samuel Gerson completed his medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City and went on to complete his residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell/Columbia). He became board certified in Emergency Medicine in 2011.
After several years practicing at UC San Diego Medical Center, Dr. Gerson expanded his clinical focus to include men’s health, hormone optimization, and preventative wellness care. At SoCal Men’s Clinic, he oversees medical protocols and works with patients to develop individualized treatment plans focused on long-term health, energy, and performance.
Angel Lopez
Senior Medical Assistant
Angel Lopez has been part of the SoCal Men’s Clinic team since 2018, beginning shortly after graduating from medical assisting school in 2017. Originally from San Jose, California, he moved to San Diego at age 12 and has been building his career in healthcare ever since.
As Senior Medical Assistant, Angel plays an important role in patient care and clinic operations, helping ensure each visit runs smoothly and professionally. He plans to continue advancing his training to become a Registered Medical Assistant and certified Phlebotomist.
Outside the clinic, Angel enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, swimming, and discovering great food around San Diego.
Nan Gerson
Clinical Manager
Nan Gerson serves as the Clinical Manager at SoCal Men’s Clinic, where she oversees daily clinic operations and ensures patients receive organized, efficient, and professional care from start to finish. She works closely with the medical team to coordinate patient services, maintain high clinical standards, and support the overall experience within the clinic.
With a strong background in healthcare operations and patient coordination, Nan helps guide the systems and processes that allow the clinic to run smoothly. Her focus is on maintaining a welcoming environment while ensuring every patient interaction reflects the clinic’s commitment to quality care.
Outside of the clinic, Nan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and staying active in the San Diego community.
